1. What is a Web Push Notification and how does it work?

Web Push Notification, also commonly known as web notification, takes the form of a window that allows you to send a message composed of text, an image and a logo. This notification is clickable and allows the Internet user to be redirected to a specific link, set up at the time the campaign is created.

2. How does a Web Push Notification work?

Web Push Notification is a window triggered by the browser and sent to the Internet user by the operating system of his terminal (mobile or computer). It works on the most commonly used browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera, Safari ) and the Android operating system. Concretely, the browser sends a signal to the operating system that will display the web notification on the user's screen and this in a way that is uncorrelated to the user's web browsing.

3. How do I enable and disable Web Push Notifications related to a site?

Web Push Notifications can be very simply activated or deactivated by the Internet user, via the web browser or mobile web browser itself for a given site (domain name). Unlike emailing, the Internet user does not need to make a request to be unsubscribed, he manages his subscriptions and unsubscriptions directly from his browser's settings management console.

4. How to integrate the Web Push Notification ensuring compliance with the DPR?

Don't panic! The Web Push Notification is "RGPD Ready". Indeed, it is a format that complies with the European regulation on the protection of personal data that came into force on May 25, 2018 since by essence, it requires the prior consent of the Internet user to be triggered by the browser. It thus becomes the first display opt-in format.

5. Why use Web Push Notifications for your e-commerce site?

This clickable message is sent to the mobile phone or computer of the Internet user who has previously consented to receive information via this channel. The relay of this message is done directly by the browser. This advertising format allows the advertiser to send a message to all these opt-in subscribers, including those who have left their site.

This innovative format is a communication channel with many advantages to conquer, transform and retain your customers. Direct, customizable, anti-fraud, 100% RGPD compliant and high-performance.

  • Easy to install - the installation is very fast and takes only a few minutes by integrating a script on its merchant site.
  • Real-time information - the Internet user receives a Web Push Notification when connected and on his browser. The marketing reach is much greater than with a classic e-mailing campaign or via an SMS campaign.
  • Customization - Web Push Notification is fully customizable (title, text, image, CTA) according to the Internet user, but also according to the campaign.
  • Increased registration rate - registration takes just one click and does not require any personal data, compared to e-mailing or SMS alerts, Web Push Notification has a much higher registration rate.
  • Functionalities and campaigns - as with more traditional communication channels, it is possible to create scripted campaigns for reminders, welcome, alerts, etc.

6. Is Web Push Notification intrusive?

The intrinsic qualities of this format, coupled with the marketing and technological know-how of our team, protect the Internet user from any feeling of intrusiveness.

Opt-in" collection of subscribers: by giving double prior consent, the Internet user is less likely to feel attacked by our advertisements. Web Push Notification is the only advertising format in the world that requires explicit prior consent.

Controlled Marketing Pressure: our Notifadz software natively includes a module for managing marketing pressure by Internet users to avoid overexposure of your brand.

One2One Targeting: Granular targeting solutions such as Retargeting, Audience Remarketing and Predictive Targeting allow us to minimize the risk of annoying the web user.

The Machine Learning: the continuous optimization of each user's experience is one of our priorities.

Format Efficiency: with an average click rate of 15% versus 0.08% in Displa, this makes it 187 times less intrusive. The marketing pressure to generate a click is well below that of current banners in display.

Unsubscribing is in the hands of the Internet user and him alone. Churn rates in web push notifications remain extremely low (0.38% on average), and only the Internet user is able to unsubscribe.

More generally, despite a steady increase in the number of ads on the Internet, the effectiveness and efficiency of advertising formats (measured in click-through rates) has continued to grow...(1)

Evidence that a constant increase in marketing pressure does not necessarily have an impact on the performance of advertising formats.

Step 2: Then click on Notifications, Here you will find a list of sites and blogs that send you notifications.

Select the site you want to prohibit from sending you push notifications and block or remove it.

3. Who are your customers / advertisers?

We work directly with advertisers as well as with the main advertising players on the market, including affiliation platforms, native advertising platforms as well as programmatic advertising agencies and Demand Side Platforms...

4. Does your advertising solution fall within the scope of the general European regulations for data protection (GDPA)?

The Web Push Notification is the first display format that complies with the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data. In fact, it is the only display format that requires the prior consent of the Internet user before being able to communicate with him/her on this format. The opt-in consent is collected here by the browser itself, acting as a trusted third party. The Internet user can easily unsubscribe by directly managing the authorizations given via his browser. It is a format that complies with the new European regulations that came into force on 25 May 2018 and even goes beyond!

5. How are unsubscriptions to Web Push Notifications handled?

It is possible at any time to deactivate / unsubscribe from our notifications. The procedures are different depending on the browser and operating system (MAC or PC) / Desktop / Mobile ...

The management of subscriptions and unsubscriptions is directly managed by each browser, which acts as a trusted third party for the Internet user.

For example, here are the steps for Internet users using Chrome

Two options.

1/ Directly at the arrival of a web push notification :

When you receive a notification on your screen, right-click on the notification and select the option "Disable notifications from this site".

2/ Browser settings

To manage the different permissions for the subscribed sites, you have to go to the browser settings.

Click on the "Customize and Control on Google Chrome" tab at the top right, then choose "Settings".

Go to the bottom of the page that appears and click on "Show advanced settings..."

Go to the "Privacy" section and click on "Content Settings...".

Select the name of the site you no longer want to be notified about and click "Block".

6. Does the user have to be on our site to receive notifications?

Sending a Web Push Notification is completely uncorrelated to the user's navigation on your website.

And that's what Web Push Notification is all about!

Notifications are "pushed" by the OS (Operating System) of the user's device (Windows or Android for example).

Your site is only intended (via our Script) to register your Internet users on our network.

Thereafter the advertising notifications that we will send to your Internet users are displayed DIRECTLY ON THE Internet user's DEVICE (via the OS of his Computer or Smartphone).

7. How to control the marketing pressure and the campaigns broadcast?

The marketing pressure is managed directly by our platform for each Internet user. Your Internet users are likely to receive up to 5 notifications per day, depending on our offers and their relevance to their profile.

We are transparent on the communications relayed to your Internet users. You can consult all these statistics on your notifadz account.

8. How does the script recognize that a user has already agreed to subscribe to web notifications?

Before displaying the authorization request page, our script (server) queries the user's browser (Chrome, Safair, Edge, Mozilla ...) to find out the status of our notification for our domain (Native or External). Depending on the answer we display (or not) the authorization request page.

9. How to integrate the Notifadz script?

Reminder of operation

Web Push Notification requires the prior consent of the Internet user.

Our script is therefore intended to collect this consent on your website. It must therefore be integrated on the pages of your site. It is intended to display to your users this request for authorization to receive our web push notification.

NB: This is the only time when a consent window appears on your website, because thereafter the advertising notifications that we will send to your Internet users are displayed DIRECTLY ON THE INTERNET DEVICE (Computer or Smartphone).

Your income depends directly and exclusively on the number of your Internet users accepting to receive our notifications. Therefore the choice of script integration is capital is CAPITAL.

Step 1: the user agrees to receive our web push notifications on your site.

There are several integration options. Discover the integration options from our online simulation tool: https: //notifadz.com/fr/acquisition.

1/ Choice of domain name

Option 1: Using your domain name (this is the domain of your site)

The advantage of using your domain, is that the acceptance of the Internet user to receive our Web Push Notifications is done in one click (the system window "Hard Asking" of authorization request of the browser is automatically displayed on your site).

The optin (enrolment) rate is therefore much higher. Your domain name will be associated with our web push notification.NB: Your site must be secured and therefore have an SSL certificate (https).

Option 2: Using our domain

The use of our domain name obliges the Internet user to make 2 consecutive clicks.

The first click is on a "Soft Asking" window.

This first click then triggers the display of the browser's "Hard Asking" system window on which the user will have to confirm his agreement a second time.

The disadvantage of using our domain is therefore that the acceptance rate is much lower (double consent).

Our domain name will be associated with our web push notifications.

2/ Choice of the integration of consent

Option 1: Entering your site

The idea is to invite the Internet user to accept to receive our Web Push Notification before arriving on your site.

Captcha format "I'm not a robot."

The user is asked to confirm that it is not a robot.

To do so, he clicks on the "Hard Asking" window of the browser (if using your domain name) and is therefore at the same time registered in our Web Push network.

(Or 1st click on a "Soft Asking" window and then second click on the browser's "Hard Asking" window (if using our domain name))

The advantage of this integration is that 100% of your audience is embedded on our Web Push network.

Option 2: Display on your site pages a window requesting authorization to receive our Web Push Notification (all integrations are possible)

The disadvantage of this option: Web Push option rate = about 5% to 10% (depending on the wording and integration on your site ...)

10. Can your script slow down the loading time of the pages of my site?

Our Script is Asynchronous therefore cannot slow down the loading time of your pages. Moreover, do not forget that, unlike the advertisements you display on your site, our web push notifications are broadcast DIRECTLY on the screen of the Internet user (Computer or Mobile).

11. How are my commissions calculated?

Each month, we calculate the total revenue generated by all the Web Push users in our network and the number of clicks associated with them.

We then establish the share of turnover represented by your Web Push network (the Web Push users registered via your website) by calculating the percentage of clicks generated by your Web Push network which we multiply by the turnover of the month.

Your commissions are 50% of this amount.

For example:

Total turnover France Adrenalead of the Month of January 2019 : 247 000 €HT

Total corresponding number of clicks: 347,000 Clicks

Number of Clicks generated by your Web Push network: 45,670 Clicks

Percentage of corresponding Clicks: 13.16% (45,670 / 347,000)

Your share of turnover: €32,508 (0.1316 x 247,000)

Your commission of the month: €16,254

That is to say ( 32,508 x 0.5 )

12. How do Billing Calls work?

From our Notifadz platform, you can access the details of the campaigns relayed on your network as well as the projected turnover and the associated eCPC from the "Revenue" section.

The turnover is provisional and may change depending on the validation of Advertisers and Affiliate Platforms.

It's not in real time. The updates of your income is done once a week (on Friday).

Since your commissions are calculated on the basis of the clicks generated by your Web Push users, it is possible that between 2 updates of the turnover your commissions may evolve (up or down, depending on the evolution of the % of your clicks on the total volume of clicks generated to date).

Since click statistics are calculated in real time, the theoretical eCPC of your campaigns is therefore underestimated between 2 updates of your projected turnover.

Warning: your projected turnover ("Revenue") does not correspond to your AAF. You should not invoice on the basis of your projected turnover. To prepare your invoices, please refer to the "Invoicing" tab (see below).

At the beginning of each month, if necessary, we provide you with an AAF (Call for Billing). It corresponds to all the campaigns that you have relayed and for which we have received a payment for the past month.

Please note that the minimum amount to send us an invoice is 100 €.

When the amount of your AAFs has reached this amount a small red bell appears next to the "Billing" tab. You can check the details of your AAF available at any time by clicking on:

It should be noted that the periods during which these campaigns have been carried out may extend over several months.

For example, the March 2019 Call for Bills (CFB) may correspond to campaigns carried out in January 2019, December 2018 and November 2018 for example ...

Then you just have to send us the corresponding invoice for this AAF.

13. Are your Web Push Notifications compatible with Adsense?

Absolutely. Don't forget that your Adsense ads are displayed on your site while our Web Push Notifications are DIRECTLY propelled on the user's screen (Computer or Mobile).
